Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 tracker was unveiled alongside the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE. The smart tracker comes with features like a new Lost Mode, a Compass View feature, and a power-saving mode.  And it comes in a small size and ring shape. The smart tracker has a robust metal loop for durability, making it easy to attach and carry. It can track items effectively within a range of 120 meters. The Galaxy SmartTag2 also boasts an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.

Lost Mode: The Galaxy SmartTag2 has a new feature called Lost Mode for added safety. It uses the NFC display on the device to save the user’s contact information in a message. And if someone finds an item with a Smart Tag 2, they can scan the tag with their smartphone to see the owner’s message and contact details.

Compass View: The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 has an upgraded Compass View feature. This feature offers visual cues to help users find their SmartTag2. And it uses arrows to show the direction and distance between the SmartTag2 and the user.

It can also control IoT devices with a click. This feature works on Galaxy smartphones with Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) support, like the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Power saving/ Normal modes: The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 has two modes – Power Saving and Normal. The new Power Saving mode helps conserve the battery and can keep the tag working for up to 700 days. Even in Normal mode, the battery now lasts for 500 days, which is 50 percent longer than the previous models.
